THESE ARE THE UPRIGHT SHAFT SUPPORTS FOR ADDDING A COUNTERSHAFT TO YOUR VINTAGE DELTA WOOD LATHE.
This listing is for a pair of new reproduction castings made from an original Delta part number 49-370 shaft support.
The price is for two (2) upright castings.
The units they professionally reproduced in a USA foundry in cast iron.
They have been CNC surfaced on the bottom mounting surface, configured with slotted holes for the hold down bolts, and tapped 7/16-14 for the bearing adjustment bolts. The machine work is exactly as Deltas.
Once complete, each casting was sandblasted and prime painted.
These uprights will work well with the original Delta shaft, oil impregnated bushing units, and step pulleys.
A better countershaft arrangement would utilize our ball bearing conversion kit to eliminate the oil-soaked bushings.
Only two upright castings are included in this offering.
These upright shaft support castings have become very hard to find. Our castings are not sold individually, and our supply is very limited.
