THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE COMPLETE TOOL REST ASSEMBLY FOR A SINGLE SIDE OF THE GRINDER. CHOOSE EITHER:

• Left-hand (LH) tool rest
• Right-hand (RH) tool rest

If you need tool rests for both sides of your grinder, you must purchase one LH assembly and one RH assembly.

Compatibility

These tool rests fit certain vintage Delta 7" grinders, including:

• Delta 7" Dual-Wheel Triple Duty grinders
• Delta 23-105 Tool Grinder
• Other compatible vintage Delta grinders using the same cast tool-rest mounting system

IMPORTANT: THESE TOOL RESTS DO NOT FIT LATER DELTA GRINDERS ORIGINALLY EQUIPPED WITH SHEET-METAL TOOL RESTS.

Your grinder’s wheel-cover casting must have the cast mounting slot designed to accept a 3/8" × 1-1/4" bar-stock tool-rest support, as shown in the listing photos. Please compare your grinder carefully with the photos before ordering.

What Is Included

Each single-side tool-rest assembly contains 16 pieces, including:

• 3/8"-thick support bar that slides into the wheel-cover casting
• 1/2"-thick slotted adjustment arm
• Heavy-duty welded tool-rest plate made specifically for either the LH or RH side
• Stainless steel mounting bolts
• Stainless steel flat washers
• Stainless steel lock washers
• Additional stainless steel shim washers

Construction and Finish

These tool rests were designed to closely reproduce the original cast-iron tool-rest assemblies supplied with early Delta dual-wheel grinders.

All primary components are CNC machined from C1018 cold-rolled carbon steel. The tool-rest plate is machined as two separate pieces and TIG welded during assembly to create the correct left-hand or right-hand configuration.

After machining and assembly, the carbon-steel components are finished with black oxide for improved corrosion resistance and an appearance appropriate for a vintage Delta machine.

The tool-rest plate is designed to work best with a 7" diameter × 1" wide grinding wheel.

Adjustment and Installation

Extra stainless steel flat washers are included so the tool rest can be shimmed to the left or right and properly centered on the grinding wheel.
