COMPLETE GUARD RETURN TENSION ADJUSTING UNIT FOR THE VINTAGE DELTA 37-220 DELUXE JOINTER
Restore the smooth operation and appearance of your Delta 37-220 Deluxe Jointer with this complete cutterhead guard return tension adjusting assembly.
Rather than simply reproducing the original components, we redesigned the assembly using improved materials and modern manufacturing techniques while maintaining the original fit and function.
COMPLETE ASSEMBLY INCLUDES
This kit includes seven (7) components:
• Torsion Spring – P/N DJ-13
• Retainer Washer – P/N DJ-10
• Hand Knob – P/N DJ-9
• Retainer Ring – P/N DJ-11
• Three (3) 18-8 Stainless Steel Fillister Head Slotted Screws – P/N SP-723
ENGINEERED IMPROVEMENTS
Every component has been thoughtfully designed or selected to provide improved durability, corrosion resistance, and long-term reliability over the original Delta parts.
Retainer Washer
Precision laser cut from corrosion-resistant aluminum rather than the original carbon steel. The washer is CNC machined with accurately positioned holes and a redesigned slot that makes installation of the spring tab easier while maintaining proper function.
Hand Knob Assembly
The hand knob and internal slotted sleeve are CNC machined from solid C1018 steel, replacing the original die-cast zinc component.
After machining, the knob is TIG welded to its internal sleeve, hand finished, sandblasted, and thoroughly inspected before receiving a proprietary Jet-Hot® ceramic coating.
Following oven curing at approximately 450°F, each knob is burnished in vibrating ceramic media to produce a beautiful chrome-like finish.
Originally developed for high-performance automotive exhaust systems, Jet-Hot ceramic coating provides exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and a long-lasting finish that outperforms traditional chrome plating.
Retainer Ring
Precision CNC machined from solid aluminum billet, replacing the original die-cast component for improved strength and durability.
Hardware
Three 18-8 stainless steel fillister head slotted screws are included. Unlike the original carbon steel hardware, these fasteners provide excellent corrosion resistance and long service life.
