Replace your cracked, broken, or missing original Delta cast-iron trunnion clamp with a stronger, precision-machined steel replacement.

Original Delta clamps are becoming increasingly difficult and expensive to find. Because they were manufactured from cast iron, they are also susceptible to cracking and can eventually break completely in two.

Our replacement trunnion clamps are CNC machined from solid C1018 carbon steel, providing a much stronger and more durable alternative to the original cast-iron part.

Trunnion clamps are sold individually. Each listing includes one clamp.

Stronger, Heavier Construction

• Original Delta cast-iron clamp: approximately 7.4 oz.
• Our CNC-machined steel clamp: approximately 9.2 oz.
• Approximately 24% heavier than the original clamp

The additional weight and solid-steel construction produce a substantially more robust clamp without relying on the potentially brittle cast-iron design of the original part.

Fully CNC Machined

Each clamp is completely machined from C1018 carbon steel. Every functional surface—including the deep, high-angle trunnion groove—is precisely cut using specialized carbide tooling.

No critical surface is left unfinished. The result is a close-fitting, accurately machined clamp designed specifically for the vintage Delta 12"-disc sander worktable assembly.

Precision Dowel Pins

The original Delta clamps used spring pins that engaged the locating holes in the BS-5 worktable-support casting.

Our clamps use high-strength, precision alloy-steel dowel pins that are press-fit into accurately machined holes in the clamp body. This provides a stronger and more precise locating system.

For smoother installation and easier adjustment, we recommend slightly enlarging the pin holes in the BS-5 casting. Use either:

• Letter-size F drill bit
• Letter-size G drill bit

Either size provides a small amount of clearance around the .250" dowel pins. Please select the amount of clearance you prefer before drilling.

Reversible Pointer Mounting

Each clamp has two tapped 10-32 holes, allowing the angle pointer to be installed for use on either side of the disc sander, depending on the location of your angle gauge.

Each clamp includes:

• One laser-cut aluminum pointer
• One stainless steel mounting screw
