Delta DP-220 Drill Press Push-Pull Switch Rod and Toggle Switch Kit

Complete push-pull switch rod kit for vintage Delta DP-220 drill presses. This kit includes switch rod, modified toggle switch, guide bracket, clevis, junction-box cover plate, hardware, and installation instructions.

Important: Installation requires bending the rod to fit your machine, cutting it to the required length, and threading the end 10-32 to connect it to the switch clevis.

Kit includes:

• Fabricated 20-inch pull rod made from 3/16-inch carbon steel with a finger loop formed on one end. Each rod is zinc plated after fabrication. The 3/16-inch diameter is correct for threading 10-32 and is long enough to fit all DP-220 drill press applications after cutting and bending as required.
• Clamp-on guide bracket with a vibration-dampening rubber grommet. The bracket is specifically designed to mount on the left side of the front upper pulley cover and is zinc plated after fabrication. A zinc-plated 5/16 x 1-inch slotted fillister-head mounting bolt is included.
• Heavy-duty double-pole, single-throw ON/OFF toggle switch capable of operating a 1 HP motor. This new Carling Technologies switch has been CNC modified with a drilled flat-blade lever that accepts the pull rod and hairpin clip, duplicating the obsolete Cutler-Hammer switch originally used by Delta. Red and green markings identify the OFF and ON positions.
• Custom CNC-machined aluminum clevis that connects the pull rod to the toggle-switch arm. The clevis is slotted and cross-drilled for the included hairpin clip and threaded 10-32 to accept the prepared end of the pull rod.
• Extra lightweight wire-form mockup rod with a finger loop. Use it to plan the required rod length, bends, and offsets before forming the heavier steel pull rod.
• Laser-cut motor junction-box cover plate. The plate is drilled to fit most vintage Delta junction boxes with either corner-mounted or centerline-mounted screws.
• Installation hardware, including stainless-steel 8-32 pan-head junction-box screws, stainless hairpin clip, 10-32 clevis jam nut, toggle-switch round and hex mounting nuts, and bracket-mounting hardware.
• Complete installation instructions.

All components are carefully packaged in a 24 x 2 x 2-inch cardboard box and shipped by USPS.

Before posting, verify these two specifications because the original draft conflicts:

• The switch rating likely should read 16A at 125V and 8A at 250V, rather than 8A at 115V and 16A at 220V.
• The bracket section lists a 5/16 x 1-inch bolt, while the miscellaneous-hardware section lists a 1/4-28 bolt.
