DELTA UNISAW JET-LOCK FENCE REAR CAM
Full Description
Is your Delta Unisaw Jet-Lock fence not “locking” the rear clamp like it should?
It could be due to a damaged lever in the rear clamp casting.
REPLACES OEM DELTA PART # 422-04-067-5001
This part is an exact replacement for the original equipment cam lever that is located inside the casting at the rear of the rip fence. This small lever is actuated by the operator to clamp the fence at the rear rail on a Delta Unisaw.
Original equipment cam levers were made of mild steel and were prone to distortion when the fence clamp was over-tightened or improperly adjusted.
Our cam is an exact copy of the Delta cam but is laser cut from 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless-steel has a yield strength of 160,000 psi as compared to the 65,000-psi yield strength of the OEM mild steel cam. The pivot hole was then precision reamed to the correct diameter and deburred.
The newer style Jet-lock fence, with the single lever that secured both the front and rear of the Unisaw fence in one motion, was Delta’s better idea. The slotted screw above the lever was present to preset the J-hook’s clearance to the rear rail so that when the lever was pushed down to lock the front of the fence, the fence internal cast iron lever’s stroke would snug up the rear clamp.
However, adjustment of the rear clamp clearance was tricky and easily set too snug. If the clearance set by the slotted nut was inadequate, the rear clamp would immediately tighten…. and as the front lever completed its stroke, the cam inside the rear clamp block would be bent. Once that happened, restoring the rear clamp’s intended function would be nearly impossible, depending on how much the cam had deformed.
Earlier fences were less prone to this problem. On early fences, the operator tightened the rear clamp with his fingers using a small, fluted knob above the front clamping lever. It would be nearly impossible to distort the rear clamp cam with only finger pressure on this hard-to-grip little knob.
Installing our direct replacement cam lever is simple and easy, and will restore the function of your Delta fence rear clamp.
Only the cam lever is for sale in this listing.
The assembly drawing and the exploded view of the rear clamp block components are for reference only, and to show where and how the cam lever fits into the rear clamp block.

Reviews From the Shop Floor
I'm restoring an old Delta drill press and the original work light was missing the actual socket, switch, and cord. What I purchased is a great direct replacement and it seems quite high quality. I would recommend this seller to procure parts to restore your old machines. Worth the money. Good job!
