Custom Dust-Collection Hood Vintage Delta 22-101 13-Inch Planer

Upgrade your vintage Delta 22-101 planer with a purpose-built dust-collection hood that combines efficient chip removal, easy installation, and a clean, factory-style appearance.

Unlike vertical dust hoods, this low-profile design allows boards to pass directly over the planer during second and third runs—eliminating the need to carry material around the machine. An integrated stainless-steel scuff plate protects the hood and provides a smooth surface for passing boards.

The standard outlet exits horizontally from the right side of the planer, away from the ON/OFF switch and clutch-control lever.

Optional Left- or Right-Hand Outlet

Standard hoods are configured with a right-hand dust-collection outlet. For shops requiring a left-hand connection, the hood can be modified before shipment.

If you would like the flexibility to use either side, the hood can be configured to accept both left- and right-hand adapters. Both adapters are included at no additional charge with this option.

Easy, Noninvasive Installation

The hood slips over the two rear roller-tensioning studs on top of the planer. No drilling, cutting, or permanent modification is required. All mounting hardware is supplied.

Durable Finish

The hood is powder-coated on the inside to reduce airflow resistance and improve chip movement. The exterior is finished with a light-gray epoxy primer.

It can be installed as supplied or repainted to match your machine. To repaint, lightly scuff the exterior with a Scotch-Brite pad and apply your preferred finish.

Limited Availability

The original production run of seven hoods sold and was delivered last year. A new batch of ten has now been completed, and several units are already spoken for.

Owners regularly comment that the hood looks like original factory equipment and fits the Delta 22-101 better than any dust-collection accessory previously offered for the machine.
