NEW REPLACEMENT SOCKET FOR THE DELTA 882 “RETIREMENT” WORK LIGHT
Replace the worn, damaged, or broken socket in your valuable Delta 882 Retirement Light with a brand-new three-piece socket assembly.
IMPORTANT: THIS LISTING IS FOR THE THREE-PIECE LIGHT SOCKET ASSEMBLY ONLY—NOT THE COMPLETE LIGHT FIXTURE.
The Delta lamp shade, mounting linkage, bulb, and other components shown in the photographs are not included.
The three-piece assembly includes:
- Internal light socket
- Center housing with on/off switch
- Snap-on upper cap that secures the assembly together
The three-piece construction allows the electrical cord to be connected before the socket is inserted into the outer housing and the upper cap is snapped securely into place.

- Same screw-in mounting style as the original Delta socket
- Bright nickel-plated finish
- Easier to maintain than the original socket finish
- Distinctive chrome-plated knurled twist knob
- Twist-style on/off operation
- Components stamped with UL and CSA certification markings
- Internal wiring completed following UL-listed assembly practices
- UL-style Underwriter’s knot provides internal strain relief
- Internal wiring connections are soldered
- Heat-shrink insulation protects the connections and provides a secure, properly fitted assembly
These replacement sockets feature a polished chrome knurled switch knob—an attractive detail not commonly found on other replacement sockets.
