RUBBER GROMMETS FOR THE OPENINGS IN THE UPPER ARM OF A VINTAGE DELTA 14" BAND SAW.
Two (2) identical rubber grommets that perfectly fit the 3/4" diameter openings for the electrical cord for the OEM work light in the Delta band saw's upper support arm. One opening is directly behind the vertical blade guidepost and the other opening is at the lower rear side of the support arm where the original equipment cord exited.
Original grommets get hard and brittle over time and are not salvageable when restoring a vintage Delta band saw. The grommets required to fit these two locations are unusual in their size and shape because of their having to accommodate the extra thick wall of the casting.
We have been able to source these hard-to-find grommets for this application and use them on every machine restoration we complete.
These grommets are easiest installed if they are first lubricated with spray silicon or liquid dish soap.
