Full Description

Rubber Cord Grommets for Vintage Delta 14″ Band Saw

Replacement rubber grommets for the electrical-cord openings in the upper arm of a vintage Delta 14″ band saw.

This listing includes two identical rubber grommets designed to fit the two 3/4″-diameter openings used for the OEM work-light cord:

  • One opening is directly behind the vertical blade-guide post.
  • The second is on the lower rear of the upper arm, where the original cord exited.

These openings pass through an unusually thick cast-iron wall and require grommets with a specific size and profile. Standard hardware-store grommets generally will not fit correctly.

Original grommets become hard and brittle with age and are rarely reusable during a machine restoration. We sourced these difficult-to-find replacements and use them on every applicable band saw restoration we complete.

Installation Tip

Lightly lubricate the grommets with silicone spray or liquid dish soap before installation. This makes it much easier to work them into the thick casting.
