DELUXE BALL BEARING SPINNER HANDLES - FOR UNISAW AND SHAPER HAND WHEELS - 1 PAIR
New chrome plated ball bearing spinner handles for improving the feel and performance of the OEM spinner handles on vintage Delta Unisaw and shaper hand wheels.

The spinner handles everyone is familiar with on OEM hand wheels are comprised of a machined and contoured aluminum handle and 5/16" splined and press fit shafts that the handle revolves on. The OEM handles are not friction free, often need oiling, and don't provide a user-friendly grip and feel like the handles we are offering here.
These handles replace the stock two-piece handle. The have integral bearings and a shaft inside the handle body, never need oil, and spin freely. The handle shape is more comfortable fitting in the operator's hand and is chrome plated. These are premium replacements for the stock spinners and make turning the handwheels for the elevation and tilt on a machine much more enjoyable.
These new deluxe handles are not difficult to install and are very much serviceable. The OEM pin is first driven out with the handwheel well supported in a vice. Once the OEM pin is out of the original hand wheel, the spinner and shaft are free from the hand wheel. The hole remaining is .312" diameter, which is the correct size for tapping for new threads. The hole needs to be tapped for 3/8-16 threads to allow the new handle to be screwed into place. Once screwed in and snugged with a 9/16" open end wrench, the hand wheel can be reinstalled on the saw or shaper.
Once you have tried these more comfortable hand wheels, you will have wished you had installed them years ago.
